The journey takes about 3 hours, and by midnight you arrive at the foot of the majestic Mount Moses

✅ Ascent to Mount Moses (approximately 00:00 – 03:00)

The climb begins — about 7 km along a narrow mountain path

• Part of the route can be done on a camel, but the last 750 steps (the so-called “Steps of Repentance”) must be climbed on foot only

• Guides and Bedouins help you navigate the route, and along the way there are tents where you can warm up with tea or coffee

• By 04:30–05:00 you reach the summit at an altitude of 2,285 meters. According to tradition, this is where Moses received the Tablets of the Ten Commandments from God

✅ Meeting the sunrise

This is the culmination of the entire night. The morning dawn slowly lights up the Sinai sky, and the rocks turn golden and pink. At this moment all conversations fade away — everyone remains alone with nature and eternity. The atmosphere is sacred and truly unforgettable

✅ Saint Catherine’s Monastery

After descending, around 07:00, you head to one of the oldest monasteries in the world — Saint Catherine’s Monastery, operating since the 6th century

You will see:

• The Church of the Transfiguration

• The Biblical Burning Bush — where Moses heard the voice of God

• Unique icons, ancient manuscripts, and one of the world’s rarest libraries (second in importance only to the Vatican)

• The crypt and relics of Saint Catherine the Great Martyr

The atmosphere of the monastery is a blend of strict asceticism, spiritual grandeur, and living history
